Visiting Artist Marikke Heinz-Hoek

Premiere of Sichtachsen (Filmduett 48 min./7 min., Marikke Heinz-Hoek, DE, 2006)

Author Walter Kempowski invited media artist Marikke Heinz-Hoek to take a personal guided tour of his home in Kreienhoop, which she documented with a small hand-held camera. The result is an authentic, engaging portrait of the author and his working methods, which stands in contrast to the cliché-d question-and-answer feature format. The artist will personally introduce both films from the "Sichtachsen" series, which are shown here for the first time in this form.
