The Film While Darwin Sleeps shows more than 3000 Insects, each one of which is ‘captured’ in a single frame, in a tiny excerpt from the huge collections of different natural history museums. The director Paul Bush edits the image into a psychedelic dream panorama. The film is a wonderful reminder of the fact that posing the question of how real and authentic a narrative can be leads often to the unserious.
